Default The joys of parenthood

So I'm sitting here at my computer, just got off of a 12 hour shift, got my 5 month old (Namews Kira) on my lap while i browse the internet (showing her the finer points of aviation and ice hockey). The wife comes into the room with rice soup (It's a Japanese thing). She took one swallow and decided to show us how much she hates the soup by hitting the bowl, knocking it off my wifes hand and all over my shirt and shorts, soaking me, and shattering the bowl on the ground. She had the most innocent face in the world it was cute, i love parenting .

Attached is a picture of the culprit (sp?)

Just thought I'd share some joys of parenthood. If ya'll got some good stories and pictures, lets hear'em/see'em

awww...she's so cute!!! yea, kids are innocent till they start talking back! that's whatcha gotta watch out for - cuz she could have been saying, in her baby language, "i'm cute now, but just you wait daddy, this is JUST the beginning"

I know how you feel. I have 3 kids. The 2 older ones werent so bad but the baby is 16 months and into everything and climbing on everything also. She is getting more and more words out everyday but that innocent look gets me everytime even when she is being bad.

I feel for you, HH-60CC. The first word came out one of my triplets - "no, no" The interesting part for me is my oldest daughter(6 years old) has an interesting request for dinner. She wants Tofu for dinner.

Tim, my kids are doing exact same thing as yours - Climbing and Touching everything. We use baby cage for containment.

Edit: How do you post pictures on here?

If you posted them on a website you can link them via the button when you "Post Reply". Or if you scroll to the bottom of "Post Reply" you can "Manage attachments", from there you can attach a picture from your computer so long as it doesnt exceed the maximum size for that type of picture. (i.e. gif, jpeg, bmp, etc)

We have one of those small play yards for the baby. She's always on the go. The 2 older ones try to keep her out of trouble..

Congrats on getting her to sit on your lap without destroying your computer!! I'm on my third keyboard already and my little girl is only 6 months old!

My son is almost 6 mo. old and I will have to remember not to mix him with the computer. But grabbing food at the table, oh, so fun. He discovered that at the restaurant the other day, along with screaming at this undescribable high pitch just because it sounds cool.

Hehe, guess I'll have to be more cautious, especially since i have a wireless keyboard + mouse. Usually she sits there pretty calm, we watch Lost together, sometimes we play NHL2006 together, it's good father, daughter bonding.

That's why we try to avoid going out to eat, she's at this stage now where she's making all sorts of funky noises. You know, the high pitchs wheeeeeeew, doing the raspberry, the awooooooooooh. Somtimes it sounds like she's crying, but really, it's just random screaming
