| Uggh! Just got to vent. In short the last year of our life looks like this; sold house in WA, moved to SLC, bought old house in trendy part of town, gutted and remodeled half (so far) of said house, working, going to school, flying, and continuing to gut and redo. So today I am sitting on the couch checking my e-mail and JC I get the I wish you would help out more around the house speech. What do you say to that?

| Re: Uggh! How do you like SLC so far? I just moved from Kalifornia and it's a different world up here. It always seems like there are a million things to do around the house, I have an acre now and the work has tripled. Where are you flying out of, I'm still looking for a fbo?
I always tell my wife that there is going to be a lot more for her to do once I leave! Just an idle threat but gets her to think a little. |

Seriously though... ARE you participating in household stuff enough? Is she working too? And most importantly... does she know about JC forums and will she read this? |

| Re: Uggh! She has met some of the people here in Oct. I do help out I think load the dishwasher flip the laundry that type of thing. If she does read this thread then she won't see anything we haven't already talked about, one thing we learned in the last 11 years is upfrontedness. I think she and I are both stressed right now as we have gone past the deadline we set for completion. I did have enough sense about me when recieving the speech of keeping my mouth shut and listening, I just needed to vent a little. She does work half time at UPS as a training supervisor. I keep that in mind and the fact she has always been supportive of me as I drug her all over the US while I was uncle sams abused child.
I love SLC so far a little different type of life. I am flying out of #1 with Upper Limit ( helo). I have checked out some fixed wing places and was flying with OK3 here but they closed the shop here. Looked into the Heber location as it is not that long of a drive. I am probably going to start flying fixed again next month after my comm checkride, and when I get my upstairs of my house finished. So keep your eyes peeled as we are going to have an almost there bbq and still alive blowout. And for sure life in the Happy Valley does take an adjustment. Where abouts do you live?

I have been looking at Air Center of Salt Lake, over at #2. I talked with OK3air but they told me that they were closing the location at #1. I don't want to have to drive over to Ogden or Heber city. |

| Re: Uggh! Sounds tough, but then again, it just sounds like "one of those days." Nothing permanent - nothing that can't be worked through.
Know what you mean about dragging someone all over the place... I felt guilty for every rag tag southern town I dragged my wife to. Thankfully I got this dream assignment up here in Rochester. |

| Re: Uggh! Ask specifically what she wants you to do. Even make an old-fashioned 'chore chart' if that would help. Sometimes seeing written out what each of you do can help to understand what the other person does.
Everytime I think that I do all the housework, and Bill hardly ever lifts a finger to clean anything, I look outside, and remember that I do nothing in the yard. I never mow, never weed, never water, anything. So, actually it's pretty balanced when I look at it that way.

| Re: Uggh! I don't understand how it makes sense for OK3 to close up shop at SLC and keep their Heber and Ogden operations going. Are Westminster and SLCC taking that much business away?
Come check out CAP, Shane. Thursday night, 7 pm, across from Upper Limit, upstairs. We're in week 3 of our commecial ground school, so you'll get at least a little something out of it.

I have been building mutli time at Air Center out at # 2. Good people and they keep their aircraft very well maint. I haven't done any ratings there but the instructors seem to be good. I have flown with a couple. PM for more detail.
