Default Turkey Dinner

I don't know if this belongs here but oh well.

Two nights ago I fly a local trip out of LAX. I flew from orange county to LAX started my day, then flew back to orange county that night. On the ride over the flight attendant mentioned that they were overnighting in SNA(orange County) the next night(turkey day) and that it was too short of an overnight to go home. One lived in SLC, and the other two in SAN. Well that day I looked online to see who was overnighting in SNA to invite them over for t-day dinner because I knew #1 the crews from my base were doing the overnights this month and #2 a Flight attendant invited me and my crew over to her house last year in Imperial,CA(the second armpit of california(bakersfield is the first)).

So I invited them over for dinner. THey called the next day around 2pm saying they were going to make it. Keep in mind I don't know how to cook. Half the family is in Vegas, the other half in SFO. So I dashed to the market and grabbed three mini turkeys that were ready to serve. Stuck them in the oven at 200 degrees to keep them warm. Got all the veggies and desserts and all that. Turned out to be a great Thanksgiving dinner. The F/A's husband flew down from SLC and also had dinner with us.

I had remembered how nice it was for us not to be in our crummy hotel for thanksgiving last year so I wanted to return the favor and invite those crews this year to my house. I was supposed to be in vegas with my family but I didn't really wanna go.

I've done my good deed of the year. Now please god, let me win the lotto. HAhahahah.

Where is Fresno is your ranking system? Imperial isn't that bad 9 months out of the year.

That was very decent of you to host dinner like that. It's kindness I'm sure they'll remember for a very long time.

I've done my fair share of holidays 'working', and the worst thing about it for me was the total lack of available food on holidays. It is darn near impossible to find something, ANYTHING, to eat on Christmas day!

Fresno is third. Although I'd have to say Barstow is tied with Bakertucky, actually.

I guess my good karma paid off. I logged onto our company website and checked out a section that I didn't know existed. I guess our CFO made an offer for employees to host dinner for crew members overnighting in that city. He offered to pick up the tab! Thats kewl!

You know what would suck omar - you win the lottery but gotta split it with 100 people and the total outcome is 2 million.
