Thanks for the tips. Emily is doing a little better and sleeping a little better at sleep. She is usually sleeping about 2-3 hours now. Her nights and days are still messed up. She spends most of her time awake after 1am.

The swadling works ok. We will have to look into getting that thing with Velcro. She is a little Hudinini (sp?) at getting her arms out. It is so cute to watch her do it.

Tanya is still quite sore which has the Dr. concerned as she said she shouldn't be that bad. Amber any insights on c-sections?

time to catch a power nap...

There's a product called a 'Kiddopotamus' that Babies R Us sells. It's a velcro blanket, and only costs $10. The 'Miracle Blanket', (same thing) sells for $30. They're pretty cool.

As for the soreness, how long has it been? I had quite a bit of tenderness for several weeks, like 4. I had to stand up slowly for the first 4 weeks. I was driving & picking up my toddler out of sheer necessity, not because it was the 'smart' thing to do. The incision site itself is still numb, and can remain so for up to a year. How's her temperature? If it's high she could have the start of an infection. Best to get it checked out. Better to call and go see a doc for no reason than to not go and really need it! I called a couple weeks after mine because I'd read so much about blood clots, and if you have pain in your legs to call immediatly. Turns out what I was feeling was nothing, but I'm glad I asked.

The days and nights being mixed up will probably go on for a bit. Once you get her into a routine (and ROUTINE is the key) she'll get a little better. I think Gavin is only waking up once at night now, so hopefully it'll be any day until he's sleeping through the night. The baby straightjacket didn't work too well on him either, and forget swaddling. He likes to kick the covers off at night.....just like his daddy.

You will love them even more when they sleep through the night!!! I love routines, we are flexible but have a basic routine. Kyla sleeps 12 hours at night, and takes 3 two-hour naps during the day, and eats every four hours (except over night of course.) And Caleb naps for 2-3 hours still, so about 1-4 pm is my golden hours of bliss.

Don't worry, it will happen! Usually around 3 months for formula fed babies, and 6 months for breast fed babies.

Life is getting better. Emily is now sleeping in 4 hour stretches. She also has a blocked tear duct. Not to serious accotding to the ped,

Tanya is scheduled to back to the Doc on Tue as her pain is not improving,

How is everyone else doing with the one handed typing?
