Family is more important than flying, that goes without saying. But, wouldn't you know it but my dad has had a heart attack and goes into surgery tomorrow. I was scheduled for my PPL checkride that day, but my dad is way more important. It was a small heart attack that they (doctors) didn't realize he had until about 4 days later. |

Wishing him the best for a quick recovery. My father-in-law had quad bypass surgery last January. Thankfully his blockages were found before he had an actual heart attack, if he'd had one it probably would have been fatal. He's fully recovered now, and feels better than he has in years! |

Wish him the best from me - I volunteer at a local hospital, I can assure you the anticipation is worse then the actual procedure!

Thanks for all the kindness. Dad had an angiogram yesterday and they found a small blockage so they went ahead and put a stint in. He came home today and already looks like he's feeling a lot better. |

Glad to hear you dad is ok. You will be fine on your PPL. You definately have good judgement and that definately leads to a good pilot...
