Default Felt the Baby Kick

Amy was getting upset (crazy hormones) that I couldn't feel the baby ... but tonight for the first time I actually felt the baby kick, exactly 4 months from the due date!

She asked--"Wasn't that cool?" I told her it wasn't so much cool as it was wierd, because it didn't actually feel like someone moving around in there, just as though some other part of her body decided to move.

The more I'm able to feel the baby kick the cooler it will be I'm sure.

Yeah, at first it's just like a muscle twitch or something. It turns into full blown KICKS later You'll see little lumps rising and falling, it's kind of creepy but really cute.

Bill only felt our second move a few times, seemed like every (and I mean EVERY) time he put his hand on my belly, the little guy stopped moving. Our first, however, was very fond of kicking Bill in the head everytime he'd talk to him.

Nessa would snuggle up behind me, and I could feel the kid kicking me in the back. I'm beginning to think buying the drum set was a wise investment in his future. Dude, wait until you start to see the kid moving from a distance.....like across the room. It's kinda like the dinner scene in "Alien."

Today, I could actually feel him kick quite often ... I use the term "him" although we're not really sure yet. Anyhow, he/she has been quite active today. We could actually watch her belly jump up and down when the baby kicks.

Once today, Amy must have been kicked pretty good, proceeds to tell me it felt like he got a running start and whacked her. I just looked at her with this crazy look, wondering how in the world the baby's going to get a running start down there ... yes I knew it was just a figure of speech

As much as it sucks to have a preemie (all the worry), I sure don't miss being pregnant.

I've already lost 12 pounds...... and ticking! Started the ole Slim-Fast starvation diet today, but I won't be able to hit the NordicTrak or do any Tae-Bo for a few weeks yet.

The only good thing about Brandon still being in the NICU is that I'm actually getting full nights of sleep again. I still wake up several times, but don't have the uncomfortable misery of late pregnancy to deal with!

It's cool to see & feel baby move inside, but it's even better when s/he's in your arms!

Yeah, the doctor said with Nessa doing so well and me being gone, we're probably gonna plan on a week 39 induction so we can time it a little better. Nessa's response was "Well, I read that he has a 99% chance of survival. Can we do it NOW?" I think she's about ready to get the kid OUT of her.

She's counting down the days until she can play DDR again. She used to be able to kick my butt in that game, but I've got about 7 months of practice on her now.....

Windchill, just wait until you get later in the pregnancy. My wife is in her 6th month and the little guy/gal is going crazy. You can see the kick/punches and really feel them now. You can even kind of see it when the little one rolls around.

I can't wait for May to get here...

you never know when. It may be June for us. I hope the little one pops out for an "on-time arrival" in May.

Take care
