I gotta throw in my two cents here, proper estate planning is critical here. We all might not be swimming in cash and assets but as you get older, you are (hopefully) worth more. Life insurance is just part of the equation. I would have all wills, powers of attorney in order as soon as you own something (car, house, etc...), along with letter(s) of intent. You can never be too prepared, and it will show if you are not. These types of things can be very messy, if things are not laid out clearly and legally beforehand.

Actually, I haven't had a chance to put everything up on the net yet (sorry...I've been studying). I'll have time after saturday to start getting everything up!

problem is, is that i have to resize the mpgs and when I last tried it, my video explosion was doing weird things with it!

Anyone else know how to "easily" resize a video taken with a digi camera?

Doug,

back to your email problem away from home ... you should install a copy of Mailwasher. It's a freebie from a bloke in Christchurch NZ. It interrogates your ISP's POP3 server and sends you back a list of the sender, etc & the first 400 bytes (I think) if you choose. Anything you don't want to download you can delete or you can also bounce back to the sender any spam.

I just checked, it's no longer free. You might want to check it out anyway.

Mailwasher homepage

Cheers

Personally, back in my insurances days, I stayed away from offering term policies. Not there is something wrong with them, just that I believe the policy you own should not terminate without consent. Term policies are very lucrative for insurance companies, they typically only pay on 1 to 3% of the total policies in force. Meaning that term policy owners don't often die within the term. Once they go out of force, you have to reapply and run the risk of being uninsurable. What I tried to offer was a stable base package (whole life or other variable policies) then offset the insurable need with term policies. You should own at least one policy that is for the long haul, even if it only covers funeral and related costs. As a rule of thumb, I used 3 to 5 year salary totals to figure out the death benefits needed to cover the clients. Make sure the policy owners and benefactors are clearly laid out. Rules vary state to state, but can be tricky and are absolute.
