| Hello all, I am looking at going to Falcon for basically everything except my private pilot. Could some students chime in on the current status of the school? I.E. How it's running? Does it seem to be in pretty good shape? Are you treated well? Are they being up front and honest? How's the training? How's the cost estimate they gave you? What are you actually spending? (If you're comfortable sharing financial info like that here...) Feel free also to e-mail me if that would be better. -gringotuanis gringotuanis@hotmail.com |

| Old Skool | gringo, I wouldn't count on much responsivness from students. Not too many people at falcon know about jetcareers. I start there in less than two weeks full time, so I'll have some more information for you from actual first hand experience besides filling out paperwork and phone calls. |

| Old Skool | Good deal, I'll also try to spread the word around the place about JC to see about getting more attention for the place here. Otherwise, it'll just keep getting passed over by the pro pilot training crowd. |

| I just got back from visiting Falcon today. I spent 3 full days in Peachtree City looking at the area as a learning environment to watching the operations at Falcon by sitting around for two days on their premisis and talking with students, CFIs, and owners. I also got to fly around in the DA20 a bit. Long story short, after touring most of the places listed on JC (like White Air, SkyMates, & FSA) and some that are not (like Wright Flyers & my hometown FBOs), I chose Falcon. I will be there as a full time student the end of July. You can find over a year's worth of posts if you want to learn about my situation as a career changer. This is a life decision and I put my money and complete faith in Falcon since I feel they are not only great at preparing someone for the Regionals, but also for preparing someone for Part91/135 Corporate Flight Ops. There is much more happening there than you can research as their website is out of date. For example, they have multiple locations now, they need to hire more than 10 CFIs over the next couple months, they have a steady influx of students from India who were a pleasure to speak with, they added a great sim room that looked identical to SkyMates sim (forget what they called it), etc. Overall, after more than a year of research and school visits, Falcon was picked as the best in my opinion. I like that they are expanding. They are busy enough to keep a good flow of students in process (important as someone who will plan to be a CFI there). And most of all, they offer a good quality product for the price. That's all I'll write on here. I'll pass along my phone number if you want to learn more on my perspective (if you search hard enough on JC, you'll find it on your own so feel free to call me). Best yet, I encourage you to visit a couple places and then go see Falcon. You can then make the best decision on your own once you see several operations first hand. |
