I’ve been out of touch with the forums for quite some time now but it’s been great reading your progress Surreal, congratulations on your recent instrument rating, you have no idea how jealous (in a good way) it makes me feel… reading about all those great flights you narrate and seeing how you progress. I’ve made my decision and I will be joining Falcon for my flight training all the way from PPL up! Can’t wait! I plan to be in Peachtree by the 15th of July or so and start training by the end of the month or first days of August…. But I have so much to do in those 15 days or so (open bank account, get driver license, car, place to live, visit the academy (good idea, uh), paper signing… etc oooof! and then of course get on with flying!) cant bloody wait. Anyway, thanks for your informative posts and hope to meet you in person soon enough (and ideed other members of the forum). All the best, Alonso

No problem Alonso. This is why I'm writing, to hopefully give other students some inside view of MY journey through Falcon. Glad to hear you have choosen Falcon for your flight training. I'm always looking forward to meeting new people, so just let me know when you finally do get settled. |

| Old Skool | Mid week update More multi time. Steep turns are looking much better. Learned a few new tricks to keep the DA42 doing what I want it to do. More OEI procedures. More Vmc demos. Did two single engine approaches and landings tonight as well. Hopped out of the plane after parking, and looked out towards the runway. The lights were on, nearly a full moon, and a beautiful sunset had just occured. It was very peaceful, then to look at the machine that I just flew. What a kick. ![]() More flying tomorrow. |

cool man!!!! Looks like for me its going to be a few more weeks. The swelling around my knee just doent want to go away fast enough. I can almost walk without a limp but not ready to jump into training without being 100%

Smart decision. Especially if you're doing any ME stuff. My right knee is getting one heck of a work out. |

If you are starting at Falcon Aviation academy at Peachtree City, Ga you could not have chosen a better school. I highly recommend it. Email if you have questions. dmrobertsn@aol.com |

Thanks Tim. It's been a blast. Hopefully will start some more XC next week. I'll try to remember to take the camera along and snap some photos.

Congrats on the AMEL... Now you can fly a twin with both engines operating for a while. That is until you do your single engine ILS and V1 cuts when you get hired on by ASA

Well if like the past couple of days by the time you leave the notorious afternoon thunderstorms should be long gone. Enjoy the trip down the "hooch"

gracius amgio. Should be enjoyable - for the most part. May bust my all time altitude record tonight! (lol). Planned cruise altitude coming back home is 9500. . .and, may beat my all time groundspeed record too. . .with 20-22kt tailwinds coming home. . .may break the good ol' 150kt barrier. lol |

Well. . .another damn weather cancellation. I'm about fed up with the summer time. Two in a row. Doesn't look like it's going to let up until after Thursday. Have a day XC planned for tomorrow. Starting at 1pm. PDK-CHA-FFC. |
