Default Number of instructors on staff.

Spencer, or anyone presently on staff at Falcon,

Perhaps you can help. I'm crunching the numbers here and am in need of some information.

How many CFI, CFIIs, and MEIs do you guys presently have on staff? Or does each student that goes through the Pro course get their CFI/CFII/MEI at once? For instance, do you guys train a student to CFI then hire them to do just only CFI work, then when they have seniority pay for their CFII so they can increase their client base? And so forth with the MEI? Or is it all done at once, and then they are able to increase their client base without worrying about if a student is only a primary student, instructor, or ME student?

Hopefully I explain the question alright. . . it's late, and I'm stuck at work. Let me know if you need further explaining and I can PM.

Default Re: Number of instructors on staff.

Currently on staff (although always changing) we have the following

7 CFI's (Basic Only)
5 CFII's
6 MEI's

Our total instuctor staff (including a couple part time) consists of 13 with several scheduled for a checkride within the next month. Our range varies from 12-17 instructors at any given time however this is not a restriction. We are currently able to fully supply our flight school with graduate CFI's as opposed to hiring "off the street".

The way our program works (typically) is that a student will get his CFI and begin working for us. Senority does not play a role persay however the added CFII and MEI is based on forseable demand as well as aircraft availablity. Basically, your training is completed as soon as practicable with the appropriate scheduling of both the aircraft and instructor.

Hope this helps with your question.
