What does Falcon charge for the ME rating? I noticed it is 15 hours of flight time, which is far more than most.

From a flyer I have from them, dating back to July of this year. . . Multi addon is quoted at $4,377, includes 15 hours flight and 24 hours ground school. |

| That's kinda high, but it is because it is so many more hours of flight time and ground school than most courses.

| I didn't see a picture of the Diamond on there site that I remember. So it was probably the Seminole, and I think they have a Seneca too.

Yeah. You know, a couple weeks ago I watched (what I think) was their Semeca heading someplace. Then a few days later, same N #, but this time it was a Diamond. They may have taken shipment of the first twinstar, and transfered the N #. |

Hey Everyone!!! Just got caught up on the recent activity and here is the Falcon Response to most issues thus far. First let me mention that the rates have increased on all aircraft however as long as the website quotes the previous price, it will be honored. 1) The ME rating currently runs for $4,747 which is for the mentioned 15 hours flight and 24 hours ground. NOTE: This is a Part 141 approved course and can be completed under Part 61 for less time depending on the applicants prior flying experience. 2) Our current Multi-Engine aircraft is the Piper Seminole. Tim is correct in saying that we have retired our Seneca due to Mx costs. 3) The TwinStar has not yet arrived, so the N# comment is incorrect. When the aircraft does arrive...VERY SOON...it will have a new tail number due to the fact that the Seminole will continue to be apart of our fleet. If anyone would like a new copy of the Program Flyer, PM me with an e-mail address and I will send it to you. Thanks for each of you keeping this board alive. We certainly look forward to seeing each of you should you choose Falcon Aviation Academy. __________________________________________________ ____________ Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions and I will respond personally to any questions you have Spencer spencer@falconaviationacademy.com www.faa-air.com www.falconaviationacademy.com |

Hey multicomm, how do you charge for the 61 multi? I am looking at a couple of other programs. Here they are. ATP $2795 10 hours/8 - 8.5 for training. Rest for flight test. Paramount Flight Services Estimated Costs* 9 Hours Dual Flight Time (PA44-180) $1,795.00 9 Hours Dual Flight Instruction $370.00 4 Hours Ground Instruction $165.00 1.5 Hours Solo Flight (PTS Exam) $300.00 Estimated Cost - ME Rating $2,630.00 Both do not include examiners fees.

The Part 61 program would also be for 10 hours of flight time and dual instruction as well as 10 hours of ground instruction. Total Cost = $3,290 ~$500 more than ATP due to actual ground school offered Flight Test will be extra which will require a flight to KAUO (the closest ME examiner) in addition to the cost of the examining fee. Our experience is that most students require more than 10 hours to be fully profiencent in ME operations which is the reason we have built in the additional time on the 141 program. |

Spencer, Any update on the costs? Last I talked with you, you had mentioned that the pro pilot course would see a cost increase due to the increase in fuel costs. Is this still occuring? Also, during the winter and early spring months, when energy costs go down slightly, will there also be a drop in the program cost then as well? |

It is in my aviation experience (although not totally impossible), that aviation does not usually see a decrease in price. While the fuel surcharges may be eliminated as fuel costs come down, the actual aircraft rates are likely to remain the same. | |
