1) you want the Part 141 training course (all ground knowledge included) 2) you want to receive VA benefits All three CFI's can be obtained in a Part 61 training environment for less than $6000 if you meet the prerequisites. Time line would be around 30 days or less. Anyone at Falcon would be more than happy to discuss the differences between the the Full Academic Course and Flight Instructor Training Program.

The Part 61 CFI program can be completed much quicker. It won't necessary be an easier course because what CFI program is. With the Part 61 course there is just a higher dependency on home study and preparation. Basically, you complete all the knowledge topics and come to Falcon ready to fly. They will prepare you for the flight portion and also do a final review with you to verify that you are ready for the oral and at that point they will sign you off for the practical. If you are ready just call up a DE and take the test. Money not being a factor I would certainly recommend the Part 141 option however if your are in a hurry and are trying to save a little then you can give the Part 61 method a try. | |

That was the lines I was thinking along with less of the ground stuff. I am sure you read my take on the visit there and just wanted to get some clarification. The only thing I can see that would help would be to have some of the prices on the website.

I think that will be a very good idea. Takes some of the mystery out of the program. Anyone that has done their homework should be skeptical when prices are hidden.

Please look at other website an you will find several that do not post prices. We do have the price for our Airline Career Path posted. This is not an attempt for Falcon and other major flight academies to try and hide the details. With the fluctuations of fuel prices today, it works out better for everyone.

I understand what you are saying with prices jumping around. But for the average joe who just wants a private or instrument and not go for the airlines it can be frustrating. May make then look else where because the thinking could be they are to expensive if they only see the pro course price...just a thought.....
