On to ASA

After finishing my training and having the opportuntiy to instruct at Falcon Aviation Academy I will be starting class at Atlantic Southeast Airlines in a couple of weeks. My experience at Falcon was a very good one. We fly newer or new diamond aircraft, including the G1000. The airport is not extremely busy so wasted time on the ramp is minimized. Numerous of our former instructors fly for ASA, Express Jet, Pinnicle, cargo, etc. Falcon also treats their customers and isntructors well. The flight school has numerous high speed programs to get pilots their certificates in short time periods. Im currently researching flight schools and Falcon is one of the top schools on my list. My question is how does the Charter operation work in conjuction with the flight training.

I see that you never received an answer to this question. I am not sure if you have tried to contact us by other means however if it is not too late, let me try to help you.

The charter operation is one of the career paths that we offer at Falcon. You have the option of:
1) getting your CFI and building time to qualify for the charter minimums per FAR 135 or
2) bypass the CFI and build time by flying our aircraft in order to reach the minimums for charter flight

The benefit to the CFI route will be cost and also the ability to fly Part 91 flights with the charter operation and build experience while saving money.

Either route is effective and probably will be determined by your time frame for training completion and the cost you are willing to invest in your education.
