I'm in pubnat 8 and am WQ (93.5) so I have that going for me, but, that involves some waiting and a bit of luck. I'm kinda torn right now since if I go ATC I'd want to be in Chicago or Austin (pref tower). ORD is a level 12 (mo money, mo problems) while AUS is a level 9 so I'd stand a better chance of not washing out. Right now I'm leaning towards ATC, but, the dilemma is do I try to get certified at a higher level (near my family) and risk washout, or start low and increase my chances of passing? Or just get a job in engineering, or go ATC and if it doesn't work go back to engineering? I want to see if I can call the BUF up down to schedule a visit when I visit my parents around thanksgiving. Does anybody know how to go about doing this, and if they are able to give a tour on a weekend?
