Default Women at ERAU

I'm in Flight at Purdue. Purdue has a guy/girl ratio of about 60/40. It seems a disproportionate amount of women here are obese or married. Indiana has the 5th highest rate of obesity in the US. Whats it like for you boys down at Riddle?

and what is wrong with obese women? They might have awesome personalities that you'll never discover because you are too shallow to get beyond how they look. True beauty comes from within and the more you get to know someone's personality the better (or worse) they start to look. I know plenty of girls around here who are considered to be stereotypically "hot" but as soon as they start talking they become so much uglier because of their personality. Ever see the movie Shallow Hal? its a good one. rent it sometime, learn something from it.

sorry, i just get really pissed off when people say things like this.

I'm just making an observation from what I see. I'm asking solely about looks, not about personality or who would be a nice person to talk to. Sorry if I've offended anyone with the question. Still looking for an answer.

PRC = 90/10, guys/girls

You see, we have this phenomenon called "RiddleVision," where after the first few months you get a permanent set of beer goggles. I mean that in the best possible way, too.

And not to be offensive, but we guys are attracted more to looks than what's "on the inside." That's very important as well, but don't consider us shallow. It's all just biology.

and then what happens when you turn 60 and realize your hot wife has wrinkles and her boobs are at her knees? are you going to trade her in for a younger hotter wife?

Ok, I didnt intend this to be about where real beauty comes from etc. I am just asking for a synopsis of the ladies down in ERAU or wherever you guys go to school. Kind of like asking 'hows the weather'.

Yeah, well maybe you should consider that we have HURRICANES?? Tornados! Floods!!!

That the kind of weather you're looking for? How dare you ask about the weather. You know...hurricanes have names - and thus - feelings too.

I kid. I'm a kidder.

Skibum - I wholeheartedly agree with you about some women who open their mouths and become Medussa while some who might be "chunky" are the best women on earth.

But, cut the boy some slack. He's just "checkin' out the action" down in Daytona.

As someone who's visited Daytona NOT on Spring Break - my advice would be - Go to Clearwater. Daytona SUCKS!

Just my $0.03.

i realize, i just felt that his adding the part about them being obese was unnecessary. he could have just asked if there were any hot girls in daytona (or wherever). I have had to deal with "fat girl" type of comments before so this is just a touchy subject for me

Yes indeed, R2F!

As far as women at ERAU...well...they are few and far between. I only really knew two girls my entire time there...both through skydiving club. I suppose part of that is because I'm slightly shy, and part of it is because I felt bad for the girls there. It seemed to me that there is a large number of #########s at Riddle that mack on every girl they see...and for the girls' sake, I wanted no part of it. I would imagine it gets old rather quickly.

As one of the rare ER females, I would have to say that for the most part, finding a decent guy at ER could be difficult. I was lucky and found a good one, but most of the guys don't want a relationship and just want to play whatever girl they can get their hands on.

Thanks for the support EatSleepFly at least someone understands that not everything is wonderful for us either.

Actually, a good number of us guys (despite what my earlier post might have implied) are looking for decent girls. The only problem is that girls here often act callous towards us, probably due to the messed up idea that we're only looking for "play" (thanks to those idiots that give the rest of us a bad name). From our standpoint, it's hard finding a decent girl here.

There's more girls at Purdue than at Riddle obviously, but its just as hard to find good ones. I only have one class on campus and its at 0730 and its accounting. Not the ideal time or place to meet women. The rest of my day is spent out at Purdue University Airport (KLAF). I can literally go through an entire day without talking to a girl. Kind of sucks.

I don't know what you are talking about, meeting people at Purdue should be easy. The first place I would start looking is a the workout place for students (if you have one). I can't count how many interesting people I have met (both guys and girls) working out. Second, go to the local study place or library. There are always women in there.

And get this, I am a shy person at first, but once I get to know them or see them a lot, the shyness goes away. Even with being shy, I find it extremely easy to meet women around campus. All you have to do is go where they are.

I'd recommend parties as a good place to meet girls also. Personally, I took up smoking as a way to meet girls-- and it worked beautifully my freshman year of college-- I found a couple of different girlfriends standing outside smoking-- but kickin' that habit after the fact wasn't easy or fun.

Reading through my post, I think it may have come across wrong-- I would never recommend picking up the habit of smoking to anyone. I was just sharing a personal experience. What I did is called being young and stupid...

Hi all, this is my first post and being a riddler myself figured this one definitaly needed my attention first. First off, to answer the intial question, hot girls at ERAU? HAHAHAHA NO! Ok thats a lie...I frequently find myself goo-goo over the occasional cutie...but therein lies the great problem of being non-approachable, getting to what I really want to talk about. There arent many girls, and of those there arent many cute ones...but even so of the girls I would actually want to date...YOU CANT TALK TO THEM....I thought it was funny what the other young lady on here said about being hard to find a good guy...well it's my experience that the girls here in prescott totally are messed up. After the first week at school they become big headed, stuck up, and straight out cold. Not to generalize...but thats the one big thing stopping me from meeting a nice girl here...and ya know what...even teh ones that come nice and sweet end up that way...its a sad vicious cycle that TOTALLY screws it up for us "nice guys"....as if we didnt have it hard already >_<

I have to agree with you there. Of all the females I met at Riddle PRC there was ONE that wasn't a totally stuck up beotch and I became friends with.

Lucky you, you've got one more than I do lol It's just really frusturating and makes absolutely no sense. Then theres the typical case where you'll befriend one and shortly after she learns she is one of few you become "forgotten" unless of course there's a convinient moment for them to need you for some reason...suddenly you're supposed to forget all the ignored hello's and forgotten favors. Forget that...>_<

I think it sorta makes sense in some weird psychological way. Female pilots can feel that they need to act that way to get any respect I suppose. I've never needed that because I've always been "one of the guys" my whole life.

It is sad. This is my first post and it think it is served well here too. Girls here seem to be really jaded, but in some ways I can understand. It must be hard to be constantly approached by guys, who usually want only one thing. But here is the deal. THIS IS NOT ALL GUYS! Example, I held a door open for a female today. She glared at me, and didnt say thanks. Heck, I hold doors open for guys too, and I dont want to sleep with them. After some period of time girls here realize that they have power over guys, and they exploit it. What does that do to me, a generally nice guy who treats women well? I treat them terribly in return, and this cycle does little to promote school spirit and personal morale.
Riddle isnt great when it comes to females, but hey, someday I'll meet someone nice. I lost a great long term relationship by coming out here in the first place, and it doesnt seem like I'll be replacing that anytime soon. I just get annoyed when I just try to be nice to someone (b/c sometimes I can be a nice person) and I get shot down like I was making a pass. Oh well....
Cheers

LOL...if I had a quarter for every time that happened to me at DAB, I could've paid my tuition as I went along. I feel your pain.

Welcome to jetcareers, by the way!
