Thanks a bunch! Seems like another great webboard to whittle away my priceless time at.
I think I could have covered my multi at least if I charged those icequeens some money everytime it happened. I guess that's life, but I'm gonna shoot down to PHX for the weekend, and see what I can drum up.
Cheers, and have a good weekend.

Female pilots can feel that they need to act that way to get any respect I suppose.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm glad to hear you never acted this way. It's funny to me to think that an attitude of that sort would be conducive to gaining respect as a fellow student/pilot/equal whatever. Most people that treat me like crap I tend to disrespect regardless of sex. It's just a silly thing, I'd like to get one of them and just sit them down alone for an hour and pick their brain...I know this is all a factor of bad communication. Oh...and the engineers have the same problem...but ya know they're engineers

That plate brings up a question of mine...

When I head of to ERAU in PRC, will I need to get Arizona plates or can I keep my California plates?

. . .I held a door open for a female today. She glared at me, and didnt say thanks.

I'd have kicked her in the box....

Of course, I have no tolerance for "jaded women", suck it up, and move along...

No pun intended...

Dude, no offense....just a friendly word of advice:

Don't go using that pic as your avatar on flightinfo.

lol...you'll be smoldering from the flames for weeks (not to mention permanently listed in a particular, famous, on-going thread).

No I never stooped quite so low...even though I did encounter a very bias attitude against female pilots at Riddle. Had a CFI tell me I was too cautious because I was a chick and should look into another line of work.

Once I get my ratings I'm gonna go and shove them down his throat.

...But I still love the school.

Personally, I took up smoking as a way to meet girls

gomntwins, you sound like my current roommate. He and a friend decided to take up smoking as they believed the girls would instantly find them attractive. Quite possibly the most idiotic thing I've ever heard. Now I have to deal with the smell of smoke in my room constantly as he smokes probably 1/2 a pack a day.

I'll have to agree... I was usually "one of the guys" as well. I think I was friends to about everyone I met.

As far as ER's view towards women, I would have to agree that is still much of a boys club. I too was told in a round about way that I couldn't be a pilot because I was female . Things like this tend to push girls to demand the same respect... I don't want to demand respect... I expect to be given the same respect no matter who I am.

I feel bad for the nice guys who get a bad wrap for hangin' around the "bad guys"... they tend to get grouped in with them. Or what I have seen is that a guy will think a girl is nice and wants to get to know her, but won't because his buddies don't think she is hot. Unfortunatly, if the guy isn't willing to standup for what he thinks or for the girl in general, he is no better than the "bad guys" .

Just my 2 cents.. or food for thought... or whatever..

Anyway... if I didn't say it (but I'm pretty sure I did)... thanks to all you gentilemen who opened the door for me, it didn't go unapprecated.

It's a self defeating system here. Guys dont go up to girls because they think the girl is crazy/jaded/married/has a chip on her shoulder, etc. Girls arent forward with guys b/c of the social stigma that can cause. So what happens? You sit in class brooding over the one female wondering why she is so stuck up, and you never talk to her. Then you get paired in a group, find out the chick is nice, and then she never talks to you again. Who knows, and honestly I have stopped giving forth any effort to meeting girls.
I still cant sink my teeth into the girls need to prove themselves thing. I still think a taboo exists around female pilots, but not to the extend most females feel it. In general there is a very competetive atomosphere around here, with everyone trying to prove themselves. I guess my view might change if I was female, but from the outside looking in I just fail to see it.
Well, as this semester wraps up, I think I need to worry more about flying and less about females. Single life can be nice, but there is a time limit on it. I still hope for some magic to happen, but in the end, I think I should devote as much time to that as going for a PhD in German Baroke music. Girls are funny around here, and I am yet to fully get my finger on why.

Not like I'm referring to you. You seem like a great person, and an exception. ;-)

BUT...I think it's typically the otherway around...
The girls don't talk to the guy because their female friends think he's a geek/dork, isn't cute, etc....etc....

But of course, you're talking about ERAU, so....
Just thought I'd bring this up though.

Haha... the ERAU thread about women has now took a turning point towards the contemplation of suicide. Is it really that bad?

Ruger P series eh? I wouldnt know whom (ah hemm) but a certain Ruger P90 went off in my suite after it had a internal failure, or a failure of the operator to make sure the thing was unloaded. Good thing I was in PHX that weekend...
BTW, Glocks are the way to go. Toughest guns ever.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, women are terrible too. (that is what this thread is about right?)

So that's why PRC had the biggest network full of porn I've ever seen? LOL....

It's kinda funny though...I was tired of going to every computer and getting the same ole vids and pics so I DLed them all onto my computer and gave them more obvious names than "frghd12".

A few months after that I told a friend on campus to PM me...he asked for my IM name and I said PilotKitten. The look on his face was priceless!! "Holy #####!! YOU'RE PilotKitten!!" Mwah ha ha ha....it was great.

We like to keep the porn topic in the closet, so from now on out it shall be called "pr0n." Yeah, the network all had the same terrible virus ridden pr0n, which in effect is a microcosm (sp?) for the campus. Go figure....
