Default Transferring to ERAU online

Just exploring a few options. I have already completed 2 years (65 credits) toward an aviation degree at a large university. I am probably going to complete at least one more semester there. I am working on my ratings, almost commercially rated, and multi comm very shortly after. How well would my credit transfer for a professional aeronautics degree? Are they pretty flexible?

The reason I am looking into transferring is because I may have a very tempting offer that would require me to be very flexible with my time during the weeks. Thanks!

I would contact the school directly because most school will only accept 60 credit or so if you are a transfer student. So I would check with them before I start another semester at your current school. Good luck on the offer!

You may want to save your money and explore another degree option. I've been very impressed with their attention and have applied for Fall.

Best of luck

I did the extended campus route, which are located on a lot of military bases around the country, and it was even cheaper and faster than online. You can also combine online with the extended campus. I got 36 hours for Private - Comm. Multi. I didn't get awarded the full amount until I got the commercial multi.

Take as many CLEP and DSST tests you can. They are ridiculously easy. I used the study guides from www.instantcertonline.com, which cost $20/month, exclusively and passed all of my tests with flying colors.

How exactly do the CLEP and DSST tests work? Do you use them to study for the real exams or are they used for actual credit?

If you are considering doing this... do it. Let me explain.

I attended ERAU's Daytona campus for a year. During that summer I was introduced to ERAU Worldwide [Online]. After carefully evaluating the options, I decided to transition to Online full-time.

Here is the financial breakdown:
[ERAU Daytona Beach]
Tuition: $33,000
Flight: $12,500
Room: $2,500
Board: $1,620
-----------------
Total: $49,620

[ERAU Online - My statistics]
Tuition: $6,000
Flight: $10,000
Room: FREE
Board: $1,500
------------------
Total: $17,500

Also, being with Online I have been able to participate in many other activities that the campus would not have allowed. You really have to be self-motivated to be successful in online courses.

Overall, I am glad I made the decision to switch to ERAU Online. I am sure you will, too.

Is the tuition by class or do you pay for a year in advance? If I am already an instructor, is it feasible to work towards a degree in my off time?
