Surprisingly, or as you might already know, ERAU is VERY competetive in baseball, basketball and soccer. All 3 teams were ranked #1 in the NAIA Division II for most of the season last year. I know a few guys that played on the teams, and they had the time of their lives. A word of caution though, most of the athletes are NOT in the aviation program, mostly for the fact that both are so time consuming that it would be difficult to keep up with the classwork.

I knew a guy who was very good at baseball in the state he played in but did not make the ER baseball team. i think it was a pitching position though if that matters.

You talking bout Scooter? Jared Bender was also in that situation. Awesome guy too. I think that the athletes that ARE in the aviation program can relate to the general student population a little better, and therefore socialize with them more outside the classroom and off the playing field. |
