This is what has been floating around lately, he even got a story in the school newspaper and the hits on his blog have skyrocketed. Hell, I like the school and even think its hilarious. The kid is a great writer. Some of the anti-riddle and even some of the pro-riddle folks here should get a kick out of this. http://ihateerau.blogspot.com/ |

Well, he sums up my feelings on the place pretty well. Seems like a smart guy, good writer, and from my experience there, none of what he says is a lie. Pretty damn funny if you ask me, props to Angry Jim! |

Dude, I love fried chicken! Collards are alright, but it made this 'brother' more hungry than angry. I like how the dude in the 2/10/05 post tried to get him hooked up with MLM. I HATE MLM PEOPLE AND WISH THEY DIE A SLOW DEATH! |

i left riddle for a lot of the exact same reasons this kid left. the only people that actually like going to riddle are the flight instructors (who are paid to be there) and the kids who are kind of blindsided and dont know any better. i hated flying there but i stuck it out and finished my instrument. i lived in Mckay hall for a year and out of me and 5 other roomates... one stayed everyone else transferred. i am sooooooo happy i left!!!!!! i know there are people who defend riddle but i dont seem to see eye to eye with them. what i think pissed me off the most was the blatant misinformation given to me by the administration. i went there expecting one thing and got something completely different. ::shrug:: just my two cents

While slightly humorous, that site is a complete knock-off of Maddox's site in terms of delivery of content. http://www.maddox.xmission.com (warning graphic language) The big f'ing deal graphic was taken from there, as was the idea for counter at the bottom of the page. Too bad such a "talented" writer couldn't have been more original in his method of criticism. |

Good for you that you're not going there. Dunno what it's like on campus but I can tell you the online classes are a freaking joke. And to get signed up? Hope you have TONS free time that you LOVE spending on hold, getting transferred, disconneted, leaving messages, etc. It's all worth it though because everyone will know I'm a really good pilot when I tell them I went to Riddle!

Can't find the sarcasm picture and I'm too busy waiting on hold to look any harder. But insert them here.

Let me put in my $.02 here... I actually started off at ERAU PRC, I figured that it would be a place to get some hours, get some connections, get a great job.... well after a grand total of 1 semester, I realized that I was basically bending over and taking it in the rear. In one semester I had gathered up a WHOPPING 22 flight hours and had paid well over double what it cost across the field at the training center. I have since moved on to the extened campus back here in LA and let me say WOW what a difference a few hundred miles make! Classes are about $180 a credit hour and they give out credits like they're candy... I got something like 38 credits for my Multi-Comm, it was unbelievavle. Not to mention I can fly all day (or work like I do most of the time) and show up to classes at night. Seriously, the best part is... I'm going to be done in half the time that it would've taken me at PRC. My point. Yeah, PRC is a total rip off... but.. don't judge the extended campuses... they are actually worth the $$.

As an ERAU-Daytona grad, I'll leave you with the infamous proverb...What you put into it is what you get out of it. Obviously Angry Jim didn't put much into it, other than negativity. I followed his blog when it was still up, and trust me, I would have punched him had I seen him on the sidewalks of campus.

You tell 'em Travis. The only thing I hated about Riddle were some of the students that went there. Those that didn't try and then attached Riddle to their name and now people associate these losers with that university. If you try hard and work your butt off you WILL get the best education in this field.

I had a bunch of stuff typed up, but it isn't worth it...y'all will find out how well respected Riddle is when you get out here in the real world. |

I know TX it's depressing. But seriously if you tried while you were there you do get a good education. But what I've faced is "oh you went to Riddle this is gonna be good!" And I kinda have to prove myself.
