Default Memorial Service

This was on the ERAU website and I figured I'd post it for those who might want to go.

We regret to report that two Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University faculty members died early Saturday, August 28, in a mid-air collision east of Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Mike Corradi, 55, Chief Flight Instructor, and Bob Sweginnis, 64, Chair of the Aeronautical Science Department, collided while practicing for the upcoming Prescott Air Fair.

They were flying American Champion Super Decathlon aircraft. The accident occurred about 8:30 a.m., MST.

There will be a memorial service for both gentlemen this Thursday, September 2, at 6:00 p.m. at the Embry-Riddle Flight Training Center Hangar. The service is open to the public.

"This accident is a great loss to us all," says Prescott Chancellor Dan Carrell. "Mike and Bob were great friends, teachers and mentors. Embry-Riddle offers its deepest sympathy to Mike and Bob's families and grieves with them."

Brendan, Khal (the two guys that used to post here), and myself will be there. Kind of a JC get together on a bad note.

Great service. They really put together an excellent memorial in such a short amount of time. The two missing-man formations were great touches.

Tell them both they need to come back to the site. I'm not sure why they cruised, but come on back!
