What to do with an Aerospace Studies (ASP) Degree?

Hi folks

I go to ERAU Prescott, used to major in Aeronautical Science (AS). Had to stop flying due to medical problems, switched to ASP cause I have a sponsorship that agreed to continue paying for tuition even though I changed majors. I am going into my senior year this fall. I need to do a co-op as well to graduate. I have been researching different careers, which has been very difficult because I have wanted to be an airline pilot my whole life.

My minors are AS, int'l business and aviation business admin.

Anyway, international financial advising looks like a very interesting career. But can I do it with my degree? Does anyone have any advice on what I should do or where to look for a co-op in this field?

Anyone else graduate with an ASP degree? What are you doing with it?

Why can't you be a pilot? Was it a medical problem?

I graduated with a degree in Aerospace Studies. I am currently a flight instructor for Airline Transport Professionals. With your minors, you might conciter any sort of Aviation Business Administration. Get the career center to help you out! That's their job and that's what you paid tuition for!

At daytona beach, co-op's and internships are kept only for those students in a particular degree. For the airlines you MUST be an aero science major to participate in their co-op's. I dont know if Prescott is different though.

I don't know much about ERAU, but if I were in your situation... I'd think about going right into an MBA program... that'll make your quest for a job in international finance advising easier to attain.

The MBA might be good, I'll look into that.

As a PRC ASP student, I managed to get an internship at ExpressJet in Houston, TX. My internship was in the flight safety department, I wored on the 6th floor of the Smith Building (Continental Building) in downtown Houston. The intership was awesome and created a great opportunity for me when I meet their minimums.

I didn't have a commercial license but took the ERJ-145 ground school and did better than most the AS students in my intern class.
