I am currently one month away from graduating A&P school and I want to continue school. I plan on going to ENMU to continue school for my AS degree and then get my Bach degree. This would set me up to get into ATC school or take the Pre-Employment test. I just wanted to get some personal info from students or anyone already graduated on how schooling was. I looked at some of the classes offered and they were very similar to some of the stuff I did in A&P school. Anything I need to look into, like the medical exam etc. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

if you want to become a controller go straight to atc school. you dont need a AS or Bachelors degree to get in. Couple my buddies went to beaver creek straight out of high school and both are working as controllers now at cleveland center. This hiring spree wont last forever and you want to get in as quick as you can. Try to get into one of these atc schools and than you can work on your AS and Bachelor degrees after you have become a controller.

All of the schools I look into seem to say Bach of Aviation Science to complete the program. Little confused on how the ATC school system works. For example, I am in Knox. TN, the closest school to me is in Nashville (3 hours) but there website say it is an 18 month program AFTER you receive a Bach. from their school. So are there schools that you can just take that 18 month program w/o a Bach?
