First week at DCA

Hi everyone. I was wondering about your first week at DCA. If you have orientation and things like that on that first Thursday and Friday, does your actual ground school start on the next day, Saturday, or does it begin on Monday? If it begins on Monday, do you have the weekend free? Thanks.

I couldn't tell you from personal experience (not a DCA student), but I'd encourage you to check out www.oneflyingleap.com, if you haven't already. It's a DCA student's page journaling his training there, from day one. Might find what you're looking for there. Great web site.

The fist two days (Thursday and Friday) are for orientation. You'll listen to some of the head people, get your uniforms ordered, get fingerprinted/background check, and get your enrollment paperwork done. If you have a loan, you'll recieve your first living allowance installment. Ground school will start on the following Monday. Your instructor will call you or will seek you out and introduce himself.
