Default Ivan

So here's what I know about Ivan so far. The HURVAC pilots will be paid per day and well as per diem money. We will also get some credit toward our dual given contract with the school. I think they are also making that retroactive for all of us who flew out for Frances. Looks like we will probably go Saturday, back up to Albany Georgia. I will post more when i know it....

The latest rumors... we may not go at all, or if we do, we will fly out sunday. I think they are waiting until this evening to check the weather and make a more informed decision then....

From what I've heard, the decision will be made tomorrow. If there is an Evac, it would be on Sunday.

seems to me that once it gets over cuba and back into the warmer waters of the gulf that if it doesn't swing east quickly and go over the keys into the atlantic, that the west coast is going to be in for some major hurt!

the bad thing is that even tho it's only days away, it's just too early to tell where it's going to land...it almost looks like you might have till monday to make that final decision....

how did you fare after hurricane frances? are all the planes back now or are you keeping them out of the state until you know more?

we brought all the planes back wednesday and it was business as usual thursday. no major damage to buildings or anything. i lost the rest of the gutters on my townhouse but that was no big deal.

i don't know what the higher-ups are thinking right now as far as moving the planes or not, last rumor i heard is that we might just keep the planes here. now that i know we are getting flight credit and a bit of pay for moving the planes, i am all for getting them out of here but nobody knows right now....

the latest is that we all of the evac pilots are meeting monday morning at 7am with bags packed. my best guess is that we aren't taking the planes anywhere as it looks like ivan is more to the west....
