Default Whee!

I'll soon be joining the ranks of the corporate pilots out there! I just got an internship to fly SIC in a Caravan and Citation Encore!

Fresh out of college and straight into my dream job! Awesome! Pictures to come when I start!

This company I'm interning with is the real deal. It's one of those "perfect" corporate gigs. I'm soooooo lucky to be here with these guys!

That's great to hear! Are they sending you to school on the Encore? How does an internship work with a corporate department? I think it'd be neat to implement an internship here, but not sure how to do so.

They've got an internship program thing through UND. Each year they head up to Grand Forks and interview a few of the applicants, and I was lucky enough to be chosen.

Yeah, going to Wichita for the Caravan next week, and Orlando for the Encore, whenever I start flying that. For the internship, when they first started it, they needed another pilot, but not bad enough to hire a new full time. So they started this program with UND. I'll be SIC on all flights (including the caravan, they want two pilots for all pax carrying flights). I also get the privilege of cleaning and stocking the aircraft, hangers, and offices, and of course, paperwork. I'm not complaining though, it's gonna be tons of fun!

You guys don't need an intern! They could hire me part time. They'd have to fly me out from Dallas and I can only work one week out of the month. What does that give me?

A whole lot of problems you don't even want to THINK about dealing with...trust me. Which is too bad, because this company is awesome.

Congrats! You'll love it (actually it sounds as though you already do!)

I fly a Baron for a corporate entity and even if its a lowly Baron - so what!
I'm a paid corporate pilot and I love it!

Hey, great job! I'm actually doing the exact same thing you are. I just graduated college and got on as an intern at a Part 91 department flying a PC-12, CJ1, and CJ3.

I feel very fortunate to be in this position. A lot of my buddies who went to the airlines are waking up every morning wondering if they still have a job....

Anyway, so far so good...

That's a sweet avionics set up in the Turbine Suburban, much nicer then in the ones I used to fly(which really weren't that bad.)
