| I know this would radically change every week, but can any current NJ pilots give an example of a week of duty? What the schedule is kind of like and number of flights etc... Just curious what the work environment is somewhat like. Also I have heard different opinions on this... Is there any "flow through" from NJA to NJI. Or is there any preference at all? I see NJI highly prefers G4 time which you couldn't get at NJA. Just curious. Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

The work environment is fantastic. New aircraft, clean well stocked aircraft. Very friendly passengers. 5 star hotels, defined work/rest rules. No fault fatigue policy. If you are tired, you go to a hotel for a minimum of 14 hrs....no questions asked. Crew food on request, whenever and wherever you want. Without getting into contract technicallities....yes. NJI is only taking a few more classes off the street. Late this year, all NJI pilots will come from the NJA seniority list. You have to be an NJA employee for 2 years to bid over, and you still must meet "their" hiring minimums (5000tt), but you don't need the GIV time. NJA/NJI will be merged in the not so distant future. There is no "preference" for NJA pilots, all position are seniority bid. | |

| Thanks, that helps a lot... I was just curious what kinds of schedules were experienced. I know it is never the same and changes a lot which I enjoy, I just wanted to see some comparison. I am very interested in NetJets but I currently do not know anyone that works for them and I have heard that LOR are very important for employment; but I have heard a couple people have gotten on without them. Anyhow thanks. |
