Default Avantair PIC time?

I have read the minimums on the site

Minimums requirements:
2500 Total Time,
1000 Multi-engine
250 Instruments
250 Hours in the past 12 months

Doesn't mention anything about turbine time or turbine PIC time required, anyone know if they hire regional FOs with a few thousand turbine SIC hours? Or any preference as to 135 night cargo versus regional pilots?

They are looking for pilots that can move into the left seat in about a year. I am sure PIC is helpful but so is working in a crew environment. Costs nothing but time to email in a resume.

If those are the PIC minimums, than what are the right seat minimums for Avantair?

Those are the minimums for right seat. We had a guy go there last September and that's what they wanted for times. He had no prior turbine time. All of his multi was in a Beech Baron.

well that seems weird to me... I heard that a lot of alpha guys are going to avantair. how are they getting those minimums flying a turbine single?.. if they had that much twin time in the beginning, why did they go fly a single in the first place? lol

Don't know, that's a good question. Maybe their total time was still low and felt spending a little time at Alpha would build enough time and experience to go to Avantair.

I would imagine they waive the 1000 hours of multi for people with a lot of turbine time.

Alex.

As for PIC/Upgrade mins, Im sure its around 3000 TT with 100 TT in type. The company i work for requires 3000 for the ARGUS rating and insurance.
