| What does everybody think about the age 65 rule in the 91/135 field of operation?. I understand (if correct) that this may slow the hiring trends of the 121 carriers. Does anybody think that the rule will have a backlash into the corporate/fractional sector? Perhaps those who were jumping ship from 121 carriers to fly a few more years (if there were any) will no longer do so?

| I know some pilots who did change plans because of the rule. There will be a few less retiring airline pilots going in, but I think that will be cancelled out by a small decrease in regional hiring. So, a few less high time people entering and a few more low. |

| Old Skool | I'm confused. I thought that corp flying had no mandatory retirement age??? ![]() |

| Old Skool | It doesn't. However, with the age 65 rule in place, fewer grizzly old airline Captains will be applying to the Corporate operators. That means more opportunities for young guys to get a corporate gig. The corporate career path is pretty attractive given the state of the airline industry right now.

| Old Skool | Very true. However, I think the number of 65 year old guys who want to start at the bottom of the corporate ladder is pretty limited.
