Exclamation Aero Charter - St. Louis

Does anyone know anything about this charter company out of Spirit of St. Louis (KSUS)? I have a phone interview with them tomorrow and was looking for any information I could find about them.

I have checked out their website (of course) and did a search on here but only found one thread from October with not much info.

Thanks

I know it is a little late but I used to fuel Aero Charter's aircraft at KSUS. Hopefully you already know that all pilots there fly from a Baron, Navajo, or Sabreliners. Most pilots that fly for Aero Charter are living off of their pager. The cheif pilot when I was there was Brook. Wasn't very nice to us line guys. If you have any more questions please feel free to PM.

Thanks man.

I had the phone interview and got an idea of the pager thing. The guy told me that you have "scheduled days" and a company cell phone... be ready when it rings. He did not paint a bad picture of the company (of course) but also wasn't extremely knowledgable. I asked him a few questions and he didn't know all the answers. If they ask me to follow up with a face-to-face I probably will just to find out more, but at this point I am unsure if I would accept the job.

They fly a lot of the Lifeguard missions out of St. Louis. When I was working at the airport. They would call us and tell us they needed to have a plane fuel and ready in 30 minutes. They are completely all on-demand. I know, it's an on-demand service but I have seen better companies but I you want to get some turbine time if you can handle it...It may not be that bad. With all the company stuff.

My buddy use to be a pilot for Aero Charter, he now flys for a regional. It seems like it was hard for him to ever get a day off. Even on his day's off he was getting called in to fly, Be cause chief pilot Bob or who ever didn't want to fly. He flew the Baron, Chieftan, B-200, and the Saber. He definitly got burnt out on the whole thing. But if you want to get good multi, and some turbine time, and you don't have kids, it probably wouldn't be that bad of a job.
