Trip complete, now I can post. Glad this "day in the life" of corporate flying is the exception - not the rule.

5:30 a.m. departure from FXE to BFI. Nice ride all the way, cruising at .83 Mach. Chins5 arrival into BFI, complete with beautiful flyby of Mt. Hood. Land, take on a little fuel, passenger arrives then off to RDM. First time flying into RDM, again another beautiful area - look forward to flying there again. Pick up pax in RDM, upload 2,500 gallons of fuel and launch back to FXE. Arrive back in FXE @ 7:00 p.m.

Just a little over 5,500 NM for the day - whew. Total trip average of 502 knots ground speed, a little over 27,000 pounds of Jet A burned, and two whooped corporate pilots. The catering was excellent (both ate filet mignon and crab - thanks boss!!) and the services provided by Clay Lacy at BFI and Redmond Air in RDM were top notch.

Got some excellent pics going into BFI and RDM, will try to post later. Took a bunch of pics crossing the Rockies - but from 40k' and 39k' - they didn't turn out all that great. Glad I fly a large cabin jet. Oh ya, just for fun we timed how much hand flying we did for the trip.........a total of 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Yup, pretty rough.

Wow, what a day. How much flying time did you log through all of that? Does the FAA put any limits on max hours/day for corporate pilots like yourself? Just curious. Sounds like a tiring but very cool trip.

I was behind you at BFI Clay Lacy has to be one of the best FBO's in regards to service.

I loved coming in to BFI on that arrival! The scenery is awesome. I get to come in a little slower at 170-180kts....so I have a little more time to enjoy it.

This trip was 91, but there are duty/rest limits that apply. Rest requirements are min of 16 hours for this trip - so essentially I'm chillin at home with the family today.

Very cool, which bird were you? Ya, Clay Lacy was excellent - I liked our marshaller (cutie), fast on the lav service, and fuel was there by the time #2 was spooling down.

Definately one of the more scenic arrivals. Love going by Mt. Hood then a nice dogleg around Seattle into 13R. Very enjoyable on a nice day.

5344K hardly the same caliber of machine that you were flying. It was a nice bumpy day with the cold air finally sweeping through.

The important thing is you were up in the sky doing what we all love to do. We go up there with some regularity - if you're at Clay Lacy and see a decked out 604 - walk on over. I'd be more than happy if we have the time to have you aboard to check her out. Take care.

Of course, I wouldn't change my flying days for anything. Even the worst flying days are better then the best non-flying days.

I will be working this summer across the hill to the East at RNT and will probably make the hop over the hill to BFI for many lunch breaks. Hopefully I will see you around.

Cessnaflyer,

If you want, pm me your e-mail address and I'll give you a heads up next time we're in the neighborhood. I envy you guys up in the Pacific Northwest - you guys get to fly in some of the most scenic country around. Enjoy it - wish I was flying out of that area for work.
