A guy I know, lets call him person A has a good relationship with another individual, lets call him person B. They have known each other for about 10 years. Person A is currently training with a local FBO and working on a Commercial certificate. Person B is a teacher. Person A wants to fly either corporate or fractional. Person B has a wife who has been a lawyer for 33 years for McDonalds. Now the quesiton.........would it be wrong for Person A to ask Lady B to walk in a resume when the time comes (which is a long way off)? Obviously this would not have the same effect as a current pilot walking it in, but would it be a foot in the door? Or would it not matter at all? Thanks for the input, and I look forward to giving Person A the information. |

Not sure you'll need (oops, sorry; "Person A" will need...) to submit a resume to work at McDonalds. j/k

dammit I tryed to answer using person a and b three times but it didn't post. Ask again in four or five years when person A would be competitive for a job and if McD's has a flight department. |

I know it sounds like it may be me, but I promise you it is not. I am not even working on any certificates yet. Won't be for at least a year any way. Yes, McD's does have a flight department, I know this for sure. I saw one of their Challenger's a few months back. |

Sorry for the random thought... but do the pilots of McD's planes get Happy Meals for catering?

PersonA should just invite Mr and Mrs PersonB over for dinner every now and then.

I don't see what would be so "wrong" about asking someone's wife for a job recommendation... Hey.. wait a minute... is there some hanky panky going on between Mr. A and Mrs. B. ? |

If you just get your ticket you wont be anywhere near competitive for a slot like that.
