Without going into too much detail, how much do you think is too much for an hourly rate to charter a Cessna 206. Same question for a 208 Caravan. I was in the FBO the other day and heard someone mention a King Air 100 going for $750 an hour, which really got me worried about what we'll be charging.

2 years ago, my company bid out our 208's between $2.35-2.75 a mile. On demand cargo.

Quick calculations means that works out to be about $425-$495 an hour (cost per mile * 180 knots). With current fuel prices being about $2/gal. higher than 2 years ago, I'll guess we're looking at a $125-$150/hr greater operating cost (Jet-A 2 years ago at $2.50/gal vs. now at $4.50/gal). Add the increased price of fuel, and now I'm thinking it would be more like $550-$645/hr or $3.05-$3.58/nm. Increase in insurance premiums is probably a biotch as well.
