Default NBAA in October

Anyone headed to the NBAA conference in Las Vegas in October? Too far away yet for me to decide if I'm going or not, but I'm going to try.

Tell them you have to be fashionably late to Kuwait due to another committment.

Put me down as a reference, if they need one.

Sure, what are they going to do to you? You've got the iron-clad protection of being a Chief Warrant! They'll go after me, the officer, definately. LOL!

Would be funny as hell if you presented a letter excusing you from Army duty (letting yoy be late) and on official USAF letterhead and signed by a USAF officer. Wonder how that would go down with your brass?

BTW, what route are they ferrying the C-12s over? Or are you "inheriting" planes already in theatre?

Yeah Baby ... gotta love the WOPA ... the Warrant Officer Protection Agency. We take care of our own, gives the enlisted folks someone to respect and the commisioned guys someone to envy.

Could you just give me a blank note on USAF letterhead with your signature block at the bottom ... you know a just in case I need a get out of Jail free card.

Our Unit flew our C-12 over to Germany a few weeks ago, met up with a crew from Kuwait swapped airpanes and brought one back for maintenance. So when I get there our C-12 will be there as well as a few already in country ... mid tour they will leave and we receive upgraded C-12s with ASE equipment installed. The flew a route from Maine to Greenland, Iceland, Scottland then into Germany where they swapped out airplanes.

That's a bummer Jim. Next year is looking better for me too...unless someone wants to stop in Dallas and pick me up!?! This kick ass CFI salary isn't going to cut it for a trip to Vegas. But at least I'll be able to make the regional conference in Dallas in November. Hopefully it'll be worth my time. C-ya.
