| Until now, I have heard nothing but good things when it came to PACE grads finishing under budget (below $12,000). Today, a friend of mine told me that she knows a couple of PACE students there that are way over budget ($17,000+). She says one guy is pretty good. Do any of you PACE grads or current students have any insight on this topic. Obviously, the more proficient you are, the better. I too am considering PACE. My instrument skills are pretty sharp and the knowledge is coming along fine but, if one of these guys she speaks of is pretty good, then I am curious what is causing the problems. I would normally consider this hear say but, she is good friends with them and talks to them regularly over there. ILS |

| I went ab-initio, not PACE, but I've never seen or heard of anyone finishing any part of the training under budget. People go over-budget for a variety of reasons. Obviously some are better than others, some have more cautious instructors, or sometimes people just get a bad string of WX or MX cancellations. It seems pretty rare though that someone just gets "screwed" over and spends several extra grand not on their own doing. |

| Old Skool | My friend that finished earlier this year (I think it was around March, he had to wait to get in the Jetsim) finished under budget by a couple grand. I think like any program you get what you put into it. You could be the best pilot in the world, but if you spend your time partying or playing Xbox instead of studying profiles for a stage check, going over budget is a likely possibility. When my friend was there, he pretty much did nothing but study or fly. Sounds boring, but at least PACE is only 3 months. |

| Anyone know what Option B costs? Mulling over my options in the ATP = $38k era. |

| Thanks for your input guys...I have a friend there now who is set to finish under budget. He and I both finished early and under budget at FSA. That is the way I like it . Like anyone else, I do not like borrowing money so I usually study like hell to try and save some of it. Thanks again...ILS |

| Option B is for people without a multi rating, you do it there in the Baron. |

| Old Skool | That's what I thought, but I didn't want to assume that's what you were talking about. ![]() I think it's only like $2000 more. At least that's what they quoted me at Sun N Fun. I was all set to just get my Comm SE and do the add-on there. Then I got the DDL version of the Riddle Run Around. I have to have my Multi Comm for my flight ratings to count towards my degree. So, I'll be taking Option A and hoping I don't need to go back and get my Comm SE. Luckily, SWA has seen fit to give me an extra $2000 for leaving in July, so at least I have the money if I need it. |
