Just getting in to college and changing flight tech. to a minor and will get all lisc. and certificates. Just wondering what airlines look for in a major. If I majored in theater (I would be working with theater technology) or something else in the arts will they pass right over me since it is not a math/technical degree or give me a chance to explain myself? Thanks! |

As for going in to a flight technology program, I highly congratulate you on this step. As for a backup degree, you have some options. The route I am currently undertaking is enrollment at a major school for flight technology and getting my associates degree in computer science at the local community college strictly over the summer. I am about 3/4 of the way done and only 2.5 years into my flight technology degree. As for other options in backup degree, some schools have aviation management and flight operations degrees as the program name, and should set you pretty well for entry level management positions. Another option is to minor in something or have flight as your minor and major in something completely different. Thats the flexibility of college and what makes it great about it. |
