| Well I just got the call from the PACE program and I have been accepted (hired) I don't know what to call it but I am off to fly again. I start training April 30th which is two weeks away and I am excited. I can quit my desk job and go where I belong. I will keep everyone posted on the PACE program. |

| Old Skool | Congrats, dude! I've got a few friends that finished PACE in Feb. One had an interview three weeks ago (got the call last week, he starts ground school soon), one interviewed last week, and another interviews next week. Hopefully, I'll be there next Jan. |

| Old Skool | I think it depends on WHEN you apply. Obviously, if they were still holding interviews for the 30th two weeks before the term starts, they had open spots. The fall probably fills up pretty quickly with ab-initio since that is the "traditional" start of school. PACE fills in the gaps of ab-initio classes, so the more ab-initio, the fewer PACE. I saw an add in the latest AOPA Flight Training for another school that has a deal with Mesa, but I can't remember the name right now. I think it was a four year like ASU, though. |

| Senior Member | Thanks for explaining, Kell. Tazman, as I understand, PACE is just a popular program and a lot of people are vying for slots. If you go to mesalounge.com, you'll find threads concerning people's applications to PACE, and their worries over long waits and not being called, that kinda thing. Actually, I've seen you post there. What I know, you probably already do. FSI, did they call you or send you a letter to let you know you'd been accepted? How long was your wait? |

| Not to pooh-pooh your acceptance, but please don't ascribe the word "hired" to any program you have to shell out upwards of $10k for. And congrats on getting in, I'll be interested to hear how it goes for you. |

| Most people that I had heard on Mesalounge were referring to there applications with Mesa Airlines not for Pace. And wow is the word I will use on that Subject heading of Hired. You have had more bad comments to that than anything else I have heard. But hey I sorta look at it the same way. It is all a gamble but I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't think I had one Heck of a shot at getting hired at the end... Good luck and hope to fly with you someday at MESA... |

| Yeah I was kidding with the whole hired thing...I think alot of people really took it out of context and I am really sorry for that. That is why I put the (kinda) in there. It sounded funny when I wrote it but in retrospect I should not have. Sorry if it caused anger or confusion to anyone. |

| Old Skool | Keep in mind that Mesalounge appears to be the jaded cross-section of the airline industry. There are a couple of realists in there, but most of them just come off as chronic complainers. I think if they were flying for SWA they would find SOMETHING to complain about. |

| Getting those bags packed my friend? When do depart for New Mex? Today is the 26th so you might already be there. I wish you the best of luck. Maybe you could give us the play by play like "Snow" does on the FSA forum. I am interested in how the program is set up. Who knows, maybe I will interview and join you over there at Mesa. Keep in touch and let me know if you need anything...ILS |

| Hopefully Doug doesn't yell at me for this, but for those of you thinking of PACE or MAPD, you may want to check out some of the discussions at the Mesa Lounge. www.mesalounge.com. Pros and cons to everything, I just want to make sure you're getting all the info you can. -B |
