I'm thinking of taking online classes through them to get my degree. I called them, and they said they give credits for your ratings. For example, I have my private pilot's license, so that's worth 7 credit hours. What do you guys think? I'm also going to use my GI bill for college.

I am getting ready to take the placement test for them. I like the fact that ratings and licenses count for credits. I also like the online aspect. From what I have read in a few places they have a pretty good reputation. AOPA did a piece on them last month. Are planning on attending or doing courses online? Rob |

UVSC is UVU now (Utah Valley University). I'm currently taking online courses. They are a very good school from what I've taken (3 Semesters). I transferred in an A.S. and started one semester before Junior status. The only complaint I have is the paperwork hastle of using my GI Bill. You have to submit a form every semester on the classes you are taking and I can never get the online version to work correctly, so I end up having to print and scan and email the form, ineveitably starting my semester GI bill a month late...(has happened every time so far). Of course, just be ready to pay the first semester out of pocket, because the GI bill pays monthly. You can save for the next semster with your installments. Good luck if you join us at UVU!

What was the first month's cost out of pocket Grab?? I'm in the same boat with the GI Bill, so It'd be nice to know how much I'll have to part with!

I take 6 credits a semester and my tuition is usually around $1050 or so... add in books to that... around $1200. I did get the online form to work for the GI bill this semester. the key is to use Internet Explorer... Safari on my mac doesn't work with the online form.

$1,200 for a semester? Wow, that's very expensive for only 6 credits.

Try taking some classes at University of Phoenix. It's over $300/credit hour (without books).
