Default Online Degrees for Pilots?

I was just wondering if anybody out there has gotten an online degree. What do employers think about these degrees? Do they hold them in the same esteem as an on-campus degree? Will getting an online degree hurt you whe trying to get an airline job?
Any input would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I know quite a few pilots that have gotten online degrees and were hired no problem. No negative stories that I know of. Your degree shouldn't specify that it was online. I'm doing Utah Valley online, and all my professors are retired or current airline pilots. There are quite a few regional pilots in all my classes as well. It is nice to be able to schedule work and flight without worrying about a class schedule.

If you search "online degree" you will find numerous posts about the subject. I find the search function very useful, when I have a question, I never have to ask because many people have asked it before.

I have had a few friends that fly for the airlines now doing on-line degrees, they had no problems getting hired. I am working on my degree on-line through Embry-Riddle. I think as long as you have a degree that is what matters. The piece of paper you will get (diploma) will still have the name of the school, no where it would say online or anything like that. I kind of like on-line as well, don't have a campus to go to and I can fly and go to school!! Best of both worlds.

Wouldn't all that time spent in front of the computer weaken your vision? It's an interesting idea to pursue an online degree it's just that vision is so important.
