Default Headsets for college?

Just curious but did guys who fly at universities have to purchase headsets before flying or do your schools supply them?

I purchased mine at my university, but I would recommend you buy one off of the internet (i.e. Sporty's.com) such as a David & Clark ($280). The headset I purchased at my school was reasonably proced ($125) Avcom, but it was uncomfortable and I have since switched to a B&C. My point is save yourself the hassle and some money and purchase a quality headset now. Good luck in college!

I purchased a Telex Echelon, it's pretty good for under $150. I would also recommend staying with a cheap one, so you will have it later for family or friends to use when you upgrade to a better one!
