Can anyone possibly answer a few questions about the online degree program at UVSC ? I'm just trying to find outif there is any way to double up on classes to complete it faster, and also how to submit current ratings to them to recieve credit. I'm a little unclear on how this all works.

My husband can help if you have a more specific question. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. He's done 90% of his classes online and the rest on campus. So are you wanting to know if there is a limit to how many classes you can take at once or did I misunderstand?

All I know is that you should be able to take as many as you want. I haven't put any real effort into my callses and I am doing just fine. Academics aren't the toughest at UVSC.

Cool thanks for the replies ! Yep basically thats what i was asking.....can i take more classes per semester ? To finish faster.....double up on it. Also...is this an accredited degree ? I mean...it will have the same pull as a regular degree you earned by attending in person ?

The degree is absolutely the same. Corbin will graduate this year with two 2-year degrees and a 4 year degree, most of which was done online and it is 100% the same degree as if all was in person. He says if you are taking the classes for college credit then the same limit applies that on-campus has, he believes it's a limit of 17 credits a semester. So you could take a full load but no more than that.

Can someone advise on how the flight training portion of UVSC works? DO you get a loan through key bank or someone then have it sent to the school to disburse the funds to the flight school? THanks..

I have a quick question about the online program. I've heard that if you want to recieve credits for getting your flight ratings then you have to be getting them while taking classes at the same time, otherwise they won't give you credits for your ratings if you already have your ratings. Anyone know if this is true? Because I thought I heard someone say you can just send in a copy of your ratings to them in order to get credits for those ratings.

If you get one of the alternative loans, basically the financial aid people at UVSC will get you to fill out a bunch of forms regarding which flight school you are going to. They will actually call the flight school and make sure everything is legit and then they will send you the check to use how you want.
