Default When can you start?

We are looking into this right now but I am a little confused. If I am reading some of the posts right, to get into this program there is an interview at the first of Sept to start in JAN? Is there no way to start right away? Am I misunderstanding?

I'm pretty sure it's all semester based, so you couldn't just start anytime.

but I could be wrong

check out flightcareers.com

The school really isn't your typical flight school where you can start whenever you want. They have classes in the spring, summer and fall only. The interviews are a few months before each semester starts

PACE is tied to the 5th semester of Mesa's ab intio program, hence why the start dates are January, April, and August.

Like everyone said, semester based. www.flightcareers.com has the current interview schedule up. Corbin interested in going? I could use a roommate in April, and I'll even bring my own Xbox.

Bummer. We should have been more on top of this. He is taking his comm Thursday and then needs to start ME. It would not be good to wait until Jan or April, he needs to get going on it now.

Having a hard time understanding how you didn't pick up on the PACE thing earlier. Tell Corbin to get off his playstation-playing ass and do a little homework on this here website!

He can get in with just the SE comm and get his ME there. Does he have his Associate's Degree (or higher) yet?

Can you remember the last time Corbin posted on this forum? I sure as heck can't!

[/ QUOTE ] Well don't be too harsh on him. Orignally we were looking for some where that he could finish all his training and we were all going to be moving together (That's when we were looking at FSI). We decided against PACE because they charge you for housing but it's only one room, and they refused to give any credit if you didn't need it. So we'd have to pay for that housing, but still also pay for additional housing for the whole family. Since then we have come to accept that he is just going to probably have to go some where by himself and come home when he can, (mostly my fault for being a stubborn butt and not wanting him to go some where w/o us.), but we both forgot about PACE.

Also the other problem was the degree. He has most of his two year req. but not all, he went a little out of order so he has several 4 year req. done but altogether it didn't give him the two year. So I don't know if that would have kept him out or not, I thought they req. a two year but we thought maybe they'd see that he was "in the process" of a 4 and let it go.

The other problem is that he is sometimes the kind of person that finishes one task before preparing for the next. He wanted to get through his ME and then look at what to do next because the opportunities will all be different. Whereas I am the kind of person that plans it all out and adjusts later if I need to, if the opportunity or whatever has changed. So because of that, we hadn't gone back and looked at anything really, until I was reading and saw something about PACE again. If we had been preparing to go that way, he probably could have made the August class. But oh well. We can't wait till Jan cause the baby is due then, and we can't wait till April because that's too far away. So we will have to find something else.

And he actually hasn't been on the Xbox for a while, he's been playing Diablo on the computer, but lately he hasn't cause he's been putting in 16 hour days. So no, he doesn't get on here to do his homework and that is why I try to find out whatever I can for him since all I do is sit on butt all day eating bon bons and watching Oprah. (And getting harrassed by you guys.)

Unfortunately, PACE wants you to have at least an AS. Trust me and Aloft on this one. I'm a whopping 7 classes away from a BS, but I don't have all the mins for the AS yet (stupid hurricane).

Actually, housing in Farmington isn't really all that pricey as compared to other places in the US. I think my friend got away with about $300/mo including utilities sharing a two bedroom one bath with someone else. And the going off by myself thing is exactly what I'm gonna have to do as well.

I wasn't sure how strict they were with that. Hindsight is a real bummer--if we had known where he'd be now, we could have planned acordingly and got him there.

You know you love the attention, baby... Easy on the bon bons or you'll have an ass as big as Oprah's!

And I didn't intend for my last post to be that harsh...forgot the smiley afterward! Sorry. (Corbin really does need to get involved here, though -- having your wifey network for you doesn't quite cut it, gotta get out and "press the flesh" yourself!

That's a bad shot-she usually looks a lot better. She looks a little crusty in that one.

Ok I think we may have actually figured some stuff out today. Current plan is to go to the April class and in the mean time he will stay here and get his CFI and stuff. So Kell you needed an April roommate? He also does have enough credits for his 2 year, he will even have his 4 year after spring semester. So he just has to see if the college can put a 2 year on his transcripts and then he will have all the requirements. Does that all sound good? If you can think of any flaws in this plan please let us know! But it feels good to maybe finally have a direction.
