Completed yesterday...though no multi students to be found, figured had to have it eventually anyway. Nice to fly a somewhat "real" airplane again after cruising around in a PA28 and C172 for a few hundred hours. $175/hr plus examiner's fee gets pretty painful though. Straightforward checkride- biggest thing, I would say, be solid on engine out aero, Vmc, critical engine, no systems questions, and dont even think about or look at the operating engine when going to identify, verify and feather. I was pretty sure I wouldnt mess that up but couldnt sleep the night before...kept thinking about pulling the wrong handle in the heat of the moment. Went smooth though....priceless. |
