After a long one month I've finally finished my CFI license. For some weird reason, Spokane been having some pretty good flying weather. So we talked forever( a mere 3 1/2 hours). We talked about FOI, airspace, performance, Eight on pylon, and some other things. The Faa asked me do you think the eights on pylons and recovery from unusual attitudes in the jeppesen book were wrong? I didn't think so, but in fact they were. You guys can tell me why! Also if you guys were to calculate the pivotal altitude from the highest and lowest point, you get a 600 feet difference, but in reality it only about three hundred, why is that? But the flight portion wasn't hard, I didn't like the spiral over the airport and land without any power part, but that life. Other than that it was very laid back and the FAA was really cool. So maybe they are some nice people at the FAA. ![]()

| Senior Member | CONGRATS MAN! Thats awesome! I go for my initial tomorrow with the Windsor Locks FSDO...WX looks great ...I was hoping for overcast at 3,000 feet AKA 15 inches MP on chandelles and no steep spirals hehe...Speaking of the checkride. Time to get some sleep. Again, great job and congrats. |

If you're studying for the FIA, just memorize everything. It took me only two week to remember everything and I got a 97 on the test. But for the particle test, just study a lot.

CONGRATS!!! That is one TOUGH checkride!! My examiner didn't like my explanation of Eights On Pylons, which was the computational method, and instead wanted the version from the Flight Training Handbook.

I'd tried to meet with my instructor at least three times a week. It mostly study on your own time, flying wasn't hard since I'd completed my Commercial license a month before. But every time we meet we talked about three lesson plans.
