| Passed cfi reinstatement, not bad at all, oral was 2.0, flight was 1.5. Its been ten years since I logged flight time. I stopped flying to open my own business, sold it about a year ago and the desire to fly again was always in the back of my mind. I'm gonna instruct for now and see where my renewed career leads me. Im 52 years young and am happy as heck to be doing what I love. By the way, if you hold an expired cfi and wish to reinstate it you dont even need a sign off and you can take the checkride with a DPE. I studied everyday for two months and flew 12 hrs in preparation for the checkride. ![]() |

| Study and use the flight instructor PTS as your guide. AS far as the flight talk to your examiner and let he or she know what your doing. And remember use simple terms, try not to get too technical. I also used the little yellow F.I. oral guide by Michael D. Hayes. I hope this small bit of advice helps you and good luck. |

| Thanks a ton. I'm using the PTS mainly. Nothing like a 195 pg PTS .
