| Newbie | Taking my check ride with Barry Sutton in a couple weeks down at PTK. Anybody have any info on him? I've looked over the PTS many times now and made note cards for everything in there. I also have the Private Pilot Oral Exam Guide that I've been studying. Anything specifically that he asks that I should be prepared for? |

| First off, good luck with your checkride. Second, know your systems!!! Know how an airplane works, know how a propeller spins, what magnetos do, your electric system, fuel system ect. Also know how to read weather, convert IAS TO CAS, and know how to explain your preflight very well. Know everything on your sectional charts plus airspace. Stay on top of your REG'S. I took my ride for the private on friday and passed, but these are some of the major things that got mentioned during the oral. Be ready, and be calm, you will do fine.
