Default Instrument Checkride

The ride was 1.4. Oral was about an hour and forty-five minutes with a five minute break halfway through.

We covered weather decision making and reading weather charts and reports, alternate minimums, Non precision and precision alternate minimums [standard and non-standard]. Takeoff minimums [Standard and non-standard]. We covered flight planning, and route / chart reading. VOR checks, required inspections and how to find them in the mx logs
Finally we covered systems and required equipment, Pitot static, vacuum, and electrical. "Lets go fly!"

"I'm ATC and you will make normal radio calls with me unless you are actually talking to ATC." We took off and proceeded direct to ZONKI on the LXT GPS 29 approach. On the way we did unusual attitudes. "There is traffic in the area and you will hold at ZONKI, maintain 3000, expect further clearance..." We shoot the approach after one trip around the hold and then go missed and get on with KC approach. We shot the ILS 3 into MKC and then departed back to the east. We had to do some traffic avoidance for a Citation that was bound for MKC and then we got on the VOR-A back into KRCM. When we turned inbound off of the arc I "lost" my vacuum system and shot the rest of the approach partial panel and then we land. "Well kiddo as long as you don't hit anything on the way to parking, then I think you passed."

End of checkride.
