Default Does the D.E. HAVE to sign your log?

Hi guys -

Just passed a checkride this morning and saw that the D.E. didn't sign my logbook...should I enter the time and write "Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On, Success," or should I contact the D.E. and get him to sign it at a later date? Is there anything in the FARs that mandates a D.E.'s signature/number?

Thanks!
J.

They aren't required to sign it because they are merely a passenger, not logging any time whatsoever (unless it's the IR and it's safety pilot). You should write something in your logbook so it's easy to find during an interview or other checkride.

With that, Congratulations Mr. Multi-Commerical Pilot!
