Default IFR in 11 days (after 9 months rest)

Well, I have decided if I am going to get anywhere in this business I need to get my IFR done. It has been 9 months since I took the written (for the second time, took first written 3 years ago). Kinda behind.

I called yesterday and set the checkride for a week from Tuesday. Now the fun begins.

I have been flying, just not working on the license. I did a quick solo of the area approaches (VOR, GPS, and LOC) but didn't do an ILS. Then got the instructor and did them, plus an ILS. Logged just over 4 hours today. Due to scheduling I won't fly again until Monday, but need to push more on the Oral prep anyway.

It's been watching other here on JC move towards the dream that has gotten me going again....Thanks (should this be ?)

Wish me luck! I'm gonna need it.

good luck, was a hard ride for me but glad when i got it done. The best advice i got from JC'ers here for the checkride was to be doing something, don't stop, check, double check and triple check, and when you think you've done everything, do it again.
