RAA looks like a great flight school. I've looked into them alot, they sent me one of the broshures......one thing i like about them is you get a type rating in a CRJ or ERJ which i would think the airlines would like....but alot of people say it doesnt matter at all. In any case they are in Deland, Fl you go through basic training (PPL, Inst. COMM, CFI CFII) Then you go thru a 9 week first officer school, 4 weeks are done at a CAE center where you obtain your type rating.....then they supposely have connections with american eagle/expessjet and others.....looks like a decent school......raajobs.com!!!!!!!!

I almost chose to go there but it was just too pricey $75K-$80K ?ouch I chose to go to a part 61 school instead for half the price same ratings and don't really need a type rating when you have less then 250tt. They have a location in AZ too. Do thorough research on shcools before forking out the $$$ or signing the loan. Good luck and fly safe.

I'm not a fan of them but do not have first hand knowledge of their training program. What I do have firsthand knowledge of is flying in the same airspace as them & let me just say I do not feel safe flying near RAA guys and gals. They've caused loss of separation (IMHO, since a go-around became necessary) at their uncontrolled field multiple times when landing there.

The pilots I know from there were less educated than most pilots I know. I would go on but I don't like to publically bash schools. PM me if you are interested in hearing more about what I think of their program. I can get in touch with a current RAA student to give you the inside lowdown
