I have a few friends already working for various airlines. I have asked, and they have offered to provide me with letters of recommendation. They then say, what do you want it to say? From my perspective, the truth, but I was curious if there is an established format for something like this? Is this a simple xxx would make a good addition to the company or is it better if it is that plus references to character, flying back-ground, etc. Also, I have an extensive (read for a long time) self employment background. I was planning on providing a letter from a person who has knowledge of that period of my life and did business with my firm. Thanks. |

I had a professor that told me to write my own letter, then she would go over it and add a few things. It seemed weird, but in the end it was the easiest way to get what I wanted in the letter and she just added a few things.
